In October of 2015 the Kaufman High School started their first Leo Club. Then President, Lion Bobby Aga suggested starting the club.  The club started with 38 members with Brandy Hartly as the first supervisor.

On November 28, 2022 the Kaufman Junior High Leos received their club charter.
